Girl at the Rock Shows

The Penske File is not a new band to me. In fact, their music has been on my playlists for years on years at this point but upon checking out their stellar new single “Lions,” it struck me that this may not be the case for everyone, so I figured now is as good a time as any to share the love that is The Penske File with all of you.

“Lions” is the first single off The Penske File’s upcoming album ‘Reprieve’, which is due out on October 3rd via Stomp Records. Like everything else I have heard from The Penske File, “Lions” is first and foremost a punk song, but it’s so much more than that. The amount of passion and love that this band puts into everything they do is as deafening as the power that comes with it, and I feel like you can really feel and hear that in this track. Instead of being a track about being scared of the future or scared of how quickly things can change, The Penske File challenges you to find the beauty in it all and does that with a sense of anthemic power and irresistible hooks. All in love, I found so much comfort in this song and, although not the most intense thing I’ll hear all day, I definitely feel like it hit me the hardest.
