Girl at the Rock Shows

I’m starting to find my footing today. It definitely started off rocky, but now I’m getting into the swing of things and feeling as accomplished as I’m feeling motivated. I know this feeling is fleeting, but I’m going to bask in it for now and celebrate by checking out some more new music.

“ANYMORE” is the second song from Will & The Prodigal Sun’s upcoming EP, and to say that it had me hooked instantly would be an understatement. The song starts off with powerful but cozy vocals. They have an energy and a slightly sharp tongue to them, but overall, they feel like the most pop-punk-perfect vocals that I have heard in a hot minute. That pop-punk perfection is only amplified as the song moves into its infectious and boppy chorus. Overall, I feel like this song could have used just a bit more chutzpah to really give it that arena-ready quality that I got glimmers of throughout this song but, at the same time, I love this track just the way it is because it shows how Will & The Prodigal Sun can be both tender and powerful all at the same time while making sure emotions stay in the forefront and the beat stays locked in your heart.
