I did the unthinkable– I unplugged for almost a whole week. No emails, very little social media, no new songs to share. Honestly, it was a nice break from it all, but to say I’m paying the price today as I frantically try and catch up on everything would be an understatement. I have literally thousands of unread emails literally to go through right now, but can’t seem to find the motivation to deal with it all, so let’s take a quick break and check out some new music instead, starting with “Wrong” from Dallis.
This song instantly hit the spot. It’s a snarky and attitude-filled anthem that calls out those people who judge you before even meeting you. I love how the song starts off with an undeniable sense of attitude, but as the track moves on, you get a little bit of tenderness in the vocals before they come back to spitting fire. This song is short at only two minutes long, but it definitely packs a punch and tells a full story. Stylistically, this song is situated somewhere between pop and punk with an alt-rock kind of beat which just adds to the catchiness of this track. Because it’s so short, I really don’t have a lot more to say here, but I will say that the energy and confidence that this song brought me on this sleepy Friday morning after the holidays was everything and more than I could ever ask for.
