Welp. It’s the final day of 2025 and, honestly, I’m ready for it. I’m not the kind of person who thinks that a new year is going to change everything, but I do like the idea of a fresh-ish start and plan to take advantage of it. That being said, this year isn’t over yet, and I still have some great music to share with you today, starting with “Whales”- a new banger from a personal favorite of mine – TeethOut.

I’ve shared out many singles from TeethOut before and I feel like every review I do is close to the same thing. This song is no different. It’s a skate punk jam that is full of life and personality. It’s a song about how fast life passes by, which makes it the perfect fit for New Year’s Eve. There’s honestly a slight air of darkness around this song because of the lyrical content, because, as the song explains, one day you may realize that time has slipped by. That being said, there’s something almost triumphant about the track as it reminds you to live in the moment before it’s too late. Sure, “Whales” is like all of the other songs I’ve shared out from TeethOut when it comes to the pop-punk-perfection and the addition of a perfect amount of spice and angst, but this song goes to show that not only does this band have a flawless sound, they have a lot to say and I would definitely benefit you to listen to it.
