I really have nothing for you right now. This morning has been trucking along as I try to get as much work done as humanly possible just as an attempt to keep up on things because everything here in the Twin Cities feels so unpredictable right now. That being said, let’s not waste any time and just jump into the next single of the day – “LASSI” from Ridi.

This song is a metaphor for culture and flavor as the band puts it. The said that it’s a song that’s meant to feel like a confidence boost and is about “owning your body, your roots, your confidence, and not taking any of it too seriously” but, honestly, that’s not what hooked me here. What hooked me is the infectious energy, unfamiliar sounds, and familiar feeling of a beat that radiates from your heart and soul and instantly makes you want to dance. I’ll be honest, this song doesn’t have the typical edge and grit that I look for. It’s much more situated in an electro pop kind of vibe than a punk or metal world but don’t let that stop you from checking this song out. The energy that Ridi has put into this stunning song is almost amazing stunning as the positivity that radiates from every beat of this track. I could say so much more about this song but definitely think that “LASSI” is one of those tracks that you just have to hear for yourself.
