I get sent a new song from L.A. Sagne every couple of months and, every couple of months, I fall head over heels in love with this act all over again. It’s not that I forget about L.A. Sagne, more that there’s just so much new music coming out that it’s hard to stay on top of all of the acts I’ve fallen in love with over the years but, after hearing “Rampage,” L.A. Sagne is absolutely shooting to the top of my “keep an eye on” list.
L.A. Sagne doesn’t hold back in this song. It’s a powerful anthem about falling in love with someone and wanting to do all of the dumb things with them. Things like holding hands at the movies, going on a rampage with them, you know, everything from the small things to the big things. There’s something super restless about this song that I really liked. I feel like it somehow drove the point of the lyrics home in a way that makes you excited to be around the person you love. I know that sounds cheesy but, honestly, “Rampage” is a love song so, naturally, it’s going to come with some amount of cheese. There’s grit and angst here making a love song for a new generation.
