You ever just have one of those days where you just can’t shake being crabby? Nothing is wrong, I feel great, had a great weekend, so on and so forth yet I’m just crabby. I can tell because every email I read feels angry in my mind. Like, because I’m crabby, the tone that everyone is emailing me with is angry too. It’s a problem because I find myself becoming more and more hot-headed as the day goes on and I just can’t have that. I also can’t give up on the day. I have too much to do so here’s to hoping that a break brought to me by Boys In Shorts can help level me out.
The lyrics of this song could be interpreted many different ways but, for me, this song is about anxiety. It’s about wanting, scratch that, needing, to know what comes next so you can decided if you want to see something through to the end. It’s kind of a daunting thought but, as someone who lives with anxiety, it’s a normal one and I loved that “Closure” kind of reminded me that I am not the only person who feels this way. Overall, this is a pop-punk bop but there are intricate elements behind the forefront of this song that make them feel so unique and quirky. Add in the infectious and anthemic chorus and you are left with a song that can only be referred to as pure gold.
