I’m not sure who Benny is or what they did to get a song both named and not named for them but, after one listen to this track frm Jak Lizard, it was clear that Benny messed up.

This vibrant song is about dealing with all of the songs that you may have written with your ex (first clue as to why Benny lost all the rights to this track). I’ll be honest, I can’t relate. I’m not a songwriter so have never written a song with an ex. That being said, the raw and intimate vulnerability that be felt throughout this song makes it one of those tracks that is painfully relatable. Although it’s definitely raw and emotional to start, this song quickly morphed into an anthemic boot-stomping kind of anthem that will have you forgetting and moving on from anything holding you back. Maybe that’s an ex, maybe that’s a crappy email you woke up to or maybe it’s something else. Regardless, I love the way this song gives you a resilient sense of triumph while also making sure that Jak Lizard is a name that remains firmly stuck in your head.
