Girl at the Rock Shows

Have you thought about what it may be like to be able to fly? I’m not talking about flying in a plane. I’m talking about just going outside and soaring off into the sunset. I’m absolutely terrified of heights but there’s something so delightfully thrilling about the thought of “Unassisted Human Flight.” I’m sure it’s nothing I’ll see in my lifetime but kind of fun to think about how maybe this is a possibility for the future, right? No? Okay, whether you’re with me on this or not, I think it would behoove you to check out this new song from Followship.

I hate just taking bands’ words when it comes to describing songs that are sent me but, sometimes, those words are just too good. “A mental health affirming technical pop punk banger”– That’s how Followship pitched this show to me and it’s honestly so perfect. Sure, this is a pop-punk banger. You hear that within the first few seconds but, as this song grows and pulls you in, you get to hear all of the technical intricacies that make Followship such a great band. From dizzying guitar licks to slamming guitars and all the way to the vocals that tell a vibrant story with the inflection of the words alone, this song has a lot to catch and it’s quick (under two minutes long). Don’t be afraid to listen to this certified banger a few times before moving on. I know I did!
