Will sharing out songs from Desk Job. while at my own desk job ever get old? Absolutely not. This band is just absolutely flawless in my mind and their day job has always just spoken to my soul. Have you been ignoring all of my other shares from this band? Honestly, it happens. I post a lot and wouldn’t blame you but Desk Job.’s new song “Maybe Someday” is not one to ignore.

This is not the most intense song I’ve heard from Desk Job.. Okay, that’s a lie. This is a very intense song but not in the way that I typically get from this band. This song is tender and absolutely full of heart and emotion. That makes sense when you learn that this song is about grief and loss. I promise not to get super heavy on you on this sunny Friday morning but this song was written after a member of Desk Job. lost their mom to cancer. You can feel weight and heaviness throughout this song but the most striking thing to me is that tenderness. The use of a voicemail from said angel can be heard in this song which just adds to the emotional power. Desk Job. didn’t have to be so vulnerable in this song. They didn’t have to write such a touching song full of so much heart and love but they did and it’s a beautiful thing. Truly, do not skip this song, do not skip this band, and make sure to hug your parents while you still can.
