Honestly, I’m just now starting to dive into work after getting my review and photos up from last night. I shouldn’t be taking a break already to check out new music but I’m already having a day and am already so frustrated by people’s lack of patience. I know I’m just starting but I need a break to help me not get lost in the “Chaos” of today already so let’s check out the aptly named “Chaos” from Medanos.
The second track from Medanos’ EP ‘Is The Dream Still Alive?,’ I love the way this song really ramps up. Although the ramp only lasts about twenty seconds, I feel like it kind of takes you out of your world and firmly plants you into Medanos’ world before they hit you with their alt-rock, punk-leaning sound. This raw and slightly chaotic song is about facing chaos and chasing your dreams. I love how you can feel that throughout this song. You can feel a sense of fire and passion but there’s also this almost panicked anxiety that comes through at points of this song signifying the chasing of dreams. This song is raw adrenaline and, for a Tuesday morning, may be just what you need to get your day started off right so what are you waiting for?
