I don’t have anything for you right now. It’s a rainy and gloomy Tuesday morning after a night where sleep eluded me so, yeah, not having a great start to the day but “Faithlessly” from Future Mondays is quickly turning it around.
This quick and punchy two and a half minute song is full of the perfect balance of grit and heart. It’s a little Against Me! mixed with a slight Blink-182 infectiousness and a more classic The Ramones punk style. Basically, it’s a blend of all of the things that make a flawless song, and the way that Future Mondays presents it is just so perfect. I love how this song is full of life, but it doesn’t push you over the edge. It’s just enough energy to form a spark in your soul and just enough power to get your blood pumping. Lyrically, this song is pretty simple, but the message packs a punch much like this song does in general. It urges you to go “all in” and I love how that can apply to so many different things. For me, it’s going “all in” on work and getting stuff done today– absolutely perfect for this slow-moving morning that I seem to be having.
