Although I’ve been having a good morning thus far, I’ve had to use “Per my previous email” a couple of times. When I write that line, I feel like I’m just biting my tongue because there are many other phrases I’d like to use, like, “Did you even read my last email, dumbass?” and “Stop wasting my fucking time and read my previous email.” I need to step back from my email for a hot minute before one of those other phrases slips out so now seems like the perfect time to check out “Biting My Tongue” from Empty Hands.

Although there’s definitely a flavor or spite in this three-minute and seventeen-second song, it feels more pop punk than not. It’s a vibrant single about never getting closure and being left with a lot more to say. Although this song is about a relationship, the words can relate to anything, including an email that you sent that just sweeps over an issue. Okay, maybe I’m digging here, but the truth is that “Bitting My Tongue” from Empty Hands is one of those songs that is just good no matter what kind of mood you’re in or where your mind wants to go, because, no matter what, the perfection of this song will act as an escape. Maybe it’s an escape from stress, maybe it’s an escape from the mundane task of being at work, regardless, an escape is an escape, and we all need one from time to time, so check out this amazing song and just get away for a couple of minutes.
