We all feel alone from time to time but some of us feel it more constantly than others. I am one of those people. Maybe it’s because I feel like I’m not meant for this day and age but I just feel like I’m pretty alone a lot of the time because of work and everything else I try to fit into each day. It leaves me very little room for socializing. Thankfully, my friends have caught onto my bullshit and are quick to join me at whatever show I have on any given night, but still, I feel like I’m just kind of floating around in my own little planet over here. I’m not sure that that’s what this song from The Haunt is about, but that’s what popped in my head when this song came across my desk.
Maybe it was because of where the song title sent my head, but I was not expecting such an explosive sound to kick this track off. That being said, it was just what I needed. This song is one of those metal-leaning pop songs that will instantly sweep you off your feet. You can latch onto the metal-inspired instrumentation and the power that comes with it, latch onto the super sweet but spicy vocals. Either way, you will latch onto this song, and it will be one that is hard to shake. Don’t just listen to this song, watch the video. The visuals are stunning. I love how simple this video seems to be, yet the images, like the song, are things that will surely get stuck in your head. I don’t know where The Haunt came from or how long they’ve been around, but I know for damn sure that they have my attention (and heart) after checking out this track.
