I may have stayed up a bit too late last night. Honestly, after the show, I just wasn’t ready to go home. I wanted some food and was in the mood to have a drink or two, so that’s what I did. I didn’t even realize how late it was when I settled up with the bar, and when I got home, I realized the mistake I had made. I rushed off to bed, hoping to squeeze every minute out of the time left for work, but it clearly just wasn’t enough because I’m struggling to stay awake right now. Thankfully, I have some new music to help keep me going before I can take a little nap.

I know that, at this point. I sound like a broken record when I say that a band blends pop-punk and emo together with a fresh sound, but that’s exactly how I would describe this song from UK-based Not Coping. The vocals are strong throughout this song and definitely command your ears throughout the nearly four minutes it lasts, but those vocals would be nothing without the instrumentation. I love how this band creates such a powerful world with the two elements, as they urge you to get lost in your feelings with them by their side. The emotion in this song is staggering and, at times, may even make you feel things that maybe you didn’t want to feel this early on a Monday morning, but have no fear, Not Coping won’t leave you hanging, and they make you feel a sense of cozy comfort every step of the way.
