I tried to make homemade Indian food yesterday and am eating some of the leftovers for lunch. I’ll be honest, it isn’t a terrible first stab at the delicious cuisine, but I feel like I could have done better. The heat is there, but the flavor is not. Maybe Indian food is just one of those things that is better from a restaurant and that you really can’t recreate at home? Or maybe I should stop being hard on myself because, really, this was my first attempt. Either way, here I sit with my lunch at my desk wishing I was anywhere but here. None of this has anything to do with “Natalie” from Gone Stereo, but this song is definitely breathing a sense of life into me on this dreary Monday.
