As suspected, my day is taking a turn into a manic Monday, but I will not let that get the best of me. Instead of giving in to the stress, I’m going to spend my energy looking forward to tonight’s show and all of the other amazing shows I will hit this week because, at the end of the day, “Everything Is Gonna Be Fucking Amazing.”
“Everything Is Gonna Be Fucking Amazing” is the first track from Bebe Barry’s debut album and, as the title may lead you to believe, this song is disgustingly positive. We’ve all heard those songs that annoy the piss out of us because of the positivity that radiates from them. Most of these come with a generic pop-based background, but not this one. That’s what caught me. Not only did this song not annoy me, but it also hit me with the perfect amount of punk angst to really drive the point of the track home. It’s a song about living your life the way you want to, and it’s so freeing. It’s not all sunshine and rainbows here. There’s something almost haunting and minor-feeling about the chorus here that gives this song a twist and will force you to remember Bebe Barry’s name. Whether you need to hear it as a reminder or need it to continue a current sunshine-styled trend in your life, “Everything Is Gonna Be Fucking Amazing” from Bebe Barry will be your new anthem.
