I was in love the second that “Eddie Kingston” took over my speakers. It starts off with a very classic rock n’ roll vibe before transferring into something just a bit more emo with the vocals. It has an OG emo vibe a la Get Up Kids but with this just more straight up instrumentation that I found to be super intriguing. The chorus of this track is beyond catchy and makes this one of those tracks that will get stuck in your head even on your first listen.
The movement throughout this track, although fairly predictable, is brilliant. The ebb and flows throughout the song are done so flawlessly and truly help convey the story being told in the heart-on-the-sleeve style vocals. Things ramp up throughout the song to leave you with a triumphant ending that will surely keep the name Resignation in the back of your head throughout the rest of your day.
