I don’t like much about Texas but margins may have single handedly changed that with their new track “West Peach”. Okay, this isn’t super new as it came out last month but it’s new to me so I think it’s safe to assume this is new to some of you as well.
The vocals of this track are what got me upon first listen. Although they seem a bit forced at times, I love the emotion that that sound creates. It’s almost as if you can feel the frustration building with every word until the chorus comes in with super powerful dual vocals that hit right to the core. Beyond the vocals is the instrumentation. Heavy on the unrelenting drums and guitars that never seem to stop, everything about this track just screams energy and emotion in a perfect way.
This is not one of my fun little bops. There’s a mature and almost dark undertone throughout this song but not everything can be unicorns and rainbows all the time and I love that this track gave me a solid four minutes to just reflect on a lot of things while getting lost in the music.
