There are so many great pop-punk tours being announced lately so it seems only fitting that I continue to go down my pop-punk rabbit hole that I’ve been going down. Today’s feature is Stay Up Late and their new track “Medusa”.
Stay Up Late got their start as a duo in Minsk, Belarus back in 2019 but then rebirthed in Philadelphia as a full-fledged band. I’m sorry, Belarus, but we are going to go ahead and keep this band. I honestly don’t know what some of their earlier music sounds like but if this new track is any indication, this band has been flawless since the get-go. “Medusa” is an instantly classic bop. With dazzling vocals, pumping drums, and an infectious beat that is sure to leave you wanting more, this is a song that will absolutely get your attention if you ever had a pop-punk phase. Hell, even if you didn’t, this song has some indie-rock tendencies that make it a go to for everyone.
Channeling some of the great pop-punk bands like Mayday Parade and State Champs, Stay Up Late will be on one of these major tours I am currently frantically trying to plan travels for in no time. Trust me.
