I know that I’m a bit late to sharing this as “Love Sucks” from Anndy Negative is a Valentine’s Day inspired song but that doesn’t change the fact that I just can not get enough of this track.
It took me a second to get into the vocals. They just seem overly angsty at first and almost campy but, as the instrumentation comes in, this song takes shape and turns into a super infectious pop-punk anthem that will surely make you smile. There’s an attitude that comes through in the lyrics of this track that I instantly fell head over heels for. I mean, come on, “I fell in love the other day and it was horrible.” Tell me those lyrics don’t make you smile and giggle at least a wee bit. Although I found myself laughing at the lyrics, this song isn’t a joke and by the end of it, I had the chorus and overall boppy vibe stuck in my head.
