My friends and I finally got our hotel room in Las Vegas for When We Were Young so I feel like checking out Light Atomic’s track titled “Vegas” is only fitting at this point.
Most of the tracks I’ve been getting lately have been coming with some background information but not “Vegas”. That being said, I really don’t need any background to know that I love everything about Light Atomic. This band is full of power but it’s a controlled kind of power. There’s some epic guitar licks throughout this track but they don’t overpower anything else and don’t seem to be muddy at all. You hear this right at the beginning of the track before the vocals come in and take this track off to a pop-punk-perfect place. I’ll be honest, this track is a bit predictable as far as when the chorus will be, where the breaks will be, and everything like that but it’s done so well that I was somehow kept on the edge of my seat throughout the song.
