Happy Monday, everyone! Did you all have a good weekend? I did but, per usual, it was over far too quickly and I feel like I got nothing done which is leading to a truly manic Monday. I need to chill for a second and I feel like “Empty” from maewest is the perfect way to do it!
The single from maewest’s debut EP, “Empty” draws you in effortlessly before giving you a sound that can only be described as maewest. It’s soft and sweet but has this undeniable sense of energy behind every word and note. It’s a little Sincere Engineer meets The Forecast but there’s also something a bit more angsty about it. maewest has somehow found the balance between everything good creating a song that is completely addictive and will surely get stuck in your head. Whether you need a minute to chill or need a little burst of energy, “Empty” is what you need.
