Obviously a track titled “Midwest Emo” is going to catch me. I mean, “Midwest Emo” is a real thing but beyond the eye-catching title, this track from Echo Track is truly one that has to be heard.
The first of three singles from Echo Track’s debut album ‘Summer Nights’, “Midwest Emo” is well, a midwest-emo-styled track that is so perfectly crafted it’s painful. The amount of emotion that comes through the vocals is absolutely staggering. Add the starry-eyed instrumentation happening behind the heart-on-your-sleeve lyrics and you are left with a powerful truly powerful track. With it’s roots in pop-punk but with dazzling guitar parts and those signature vocals, Echo Track has definitely carved a place into my heart with this first single.
‘Summer Nights’ is due out in October so make sure to follow this band so you don’t miss their other two singles and the album when it drops.
