Girl at the Rock Shows

I just cleaned out my coat closet. That had been on my list for a long time and it’s finally done. The crazy thing is, it only took me about fifteen minutes. Isn’t it crazy how we put things off that really take no time at all? That has nothing to do with DINNERSWORTH’s new single “Apart” but it does mean I am ready to check out a new song to soundtrack the next item on my to-do list.

A local boy, DINNERSWORTH is Blake from the Twin Cities. Blake works on his songs in his basement near Minneapolis and you get that vibe from his song “Apart” but you also get more than just that. Sure, there’s something a little rough about the recording quality and mastering of this track but I love how it adds a sense of charm to the classic skate punk vibe you get in this track. It’s a fast track but there is never a moment throughout the near three minutes where you fear that things may fall apart or where things become too muddy. Really, this is just a perfect and anthemic DIY punk song that will surely get you moving and grooving on this Saturday morning so check it out and let’s show DINNERSWORTH some love!
