I hit a wall with getting my stuff done today so I took a break for a couple hours but I’m back at it and ready to get that motivation that I had this morning going again so, naturally, I need a theme song for this. That’s where “Baby Teeth” from Zoe Ko comes in.
There’s such a sense of attitude that radiates from this track and I love it. Although it leans a bit more poppy than I tend to go for, there’s a very pop-punk sensibility behind it. The first, and most obvious, comparison to make would be Paramore. It has that boppiness that Paramore does so well but with a bit of an edge to the vocals. That being said, I feel like Zoe Ko throws a lot more at you. This is a light-hearted and fun track but there’s no denying the passion and fire that comes with every word. This is a bold and infectious track that is perfect to help you get through an afternoon slump so go ahead and turn the volume up and press play. I promise you won’t regret it!
