Girl at the Rock Shows

I feel like I started today a bit heavy with the first single I shared out to you so let’s lighten things up with the bop that is “F.Y.H.” from Sick Move.

The band claimed that this song “catapults from a 0 to 100 in an instant” and they weren’t lying. After just a couple of bass notes, the band comes in and whisks this song off into punk heaven. This is a fast and furious track but with a sense of organization that keeps it from merging into the world of chaos. It’s the drums here that really caught me. There’s really not a moment in this two and a half minute long song when they slow down or stop. Vocally, this song is a straight up punk anthem. The words are punched into you alongside the furious instrumentation in a perfect way. When all of the elements that are Sick Move come together, they form a sound that if begged to be pushed and shoved to. Listening to “F.Y.H.” instantly had me lost in my head about what it must be like to see Sick Move perform live and I truly hope I get the chance sooner rather than later.
