I determined to have a productive and good week. I know that should be the mentality walking into every week but I feel like I am a person that comes down with a case of the Mondays from time to time. Not this week and I have a killer jam to kick off the week to prove how serious I am about getting this Monday started on the right foot.
“Been There, Done That” is upbeat and catchy but that’s just the beginning of how amazing this track from The Maysides is. From relatable lyrics to a blend of retro and modern, this song checks all of the marks. The vocals are sweet and full of life but also have a DIY punk edge to them that is as addicting as it is powerful. There’s something super uplifting about this track which makes it perfect for a Monday morning but it’s the raw edge that kept me engaged throughout the three and a half minute long song. I really wish I had more to say about “Been There, Done That” from The Maysides but, the truth is, this is just one of those songs that you have to hear for yourself and really let it sink into your bones and soul. My words just will never do it justice so get your week started off right and check out this song and then, when you fall in love, make sure to follow The Maysides on all of their socials.
