I’m feeling it this morning. I’m not sure what “it” is but it has me feeling lazy, unmotivated, and exhausted. There’s no time to be feeling like this. I need to snap out of it quick. “Montreal Screwjob” from Be Fair has done the trick.

“Montreal Screwjob” is a raw song. I mean that in more ways than one. From the vocals to the instrumentation, there’s something super raw and emotional about this track that will instantly have you hooked on this English punk band. The lyrics in this song are unapologetic and painfully relatable. It’s a love song of sorts but more of a love song that goes through the ups and downs of, well, love. From teenage infatuation to the storms that life will throw at you again and again, I love the way you feel like this song has lived a whole life because, when it comes down to it, that’s what the lyrical content is. The ups and downs of sound in this track match the rollercoaster ride this is life but the song never loses it’s anthemic punk edge or angst.
