Although today isn’t one of those days, there are some days when I wake up and I just want to be in “Bed All Day”. That was the first thing that drew me to this single from Emma Dilemma but the song ended up being so much catchier than just the all-too-real title.
Based on the song title, I would have been willing to bet that “Bed All Day” from Emma Dilemma was going to be a fairly moody and slow song. How wrong I was. This song hooks you right off the bat with an infectious beat and super playful vocals. There’s an attitude that reigns supreme throughout this song that will both put a smile on your face and a fire under your butt (which, after a long weekend, I think we could all use a little bit more of today). Instead of being a literal meaning of wanting to be in “Bed All Day”, this track is about wanting to just take a break from the daily grind and find meaning in all of the madness. Although I’m one of those people that just can’t seem to take a break from the grind, I loved how this song made me stop, even if only for about three minutes, and think about everything other than grind.
