Work is pretty pointless today, I’ll be honest. The phone has only rung about three times and my emails are dead. That being said, I’m still getting a lot done and will continue to do so but need some more new music to keep me going so let’s check out “Don’t Count Me Out” from Vanderzee.

It doesn’t take long to catch onto the fact that Vanderzee is a truly talented musician. You feel that from the first note of this track. A classically trained guitarist turned experimental producer, I love that you get to hear a million different things mashed into this track but how they all fit so perfectly to make a sonically moving track. The thing that hit me the hardest about this track is the moodiness. As someone who goes through intense mood swings with every passing moment, this song really spoke to me. A classic singer-songwriter styled chorus followed up a more angsty and emo drench verse is only the beginning when it comes to the contrast of this track. “Don’t Count Me Out” will not only speak to your soul, it will catch your ears and make you fall in love with Vanderzee upon first listen.
