Per usual, I am feeling the early afternoon slump after my lunch. I’m sure that I’ll snap out of it soon as I still have so much to do but I need that little fire under my butt to get back into work mode and “Stitches” from Crippled Fingers is doing just the trick.

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve shared out a super heavy single and that’s because I can be a bit picky about my ultra-heavy music. Instead of a song where it’s clear that it’s made just to be heavy and aggressive, I want a song that has heaviness but also has a sense of fury and passion behind it. You definitely get both of those things when you hear “Stitches”. Crippled Fingers is a four-piece metal band from Prague. They have been around since 2011 and you can hear that in this song. There’s such a sense of perfection with the levels of everything throughout the song. Even though it’s heavy and intense, you can clearly hear every note and every word which is something I think some heavy bands seem to forget about. Stylistically, this song bridges a slight gap between metalcore and hardcore so effortlessly making Crippled Fingers a stand out band in an otherwise oversaturated scene.
