Girl at the Rock Shows

Seattle based Lovely Colours will be release a new record on May 24th. I know that May seems like a long way away so I’m so excited to introduce you to “Ghost”. One of the singles off of this album!

From Juneau, Alaska to Seattle, Washington, vocalist Devin Damitio and bassist James Rosales have been making music together. It’s been since age 12 and, although there have been many songs and bands since then, I feel like it’s safe to say that Lovely Colours and “Ghost” in particular, is their best work yet. Joined by guitarist Patrick May and drummer Steven Bingham, this single has a sense of depth to it that my words will never do justice for. From indie-pop to DIY garage rock all the way to a little 80’s inspired synth rock, you get a little bit of everything throughout this three minute song but one thing that stays constant is the passion that comes with every note and every word. This song is drenched with passion but comes with a giant helping of infectious energy. Not too fast, not too slow; not too commercial, not too avant-garde– Lovely Colours has found the balance of all things and this song proves it.
