My boyfriend just bought stackable twin beds for his kids at my place. I knew it was coming. I mean, he moved in with me and the kid are part of that deal every other weekend but I think the realization that I will be trading in my sectional couch in my basement for two twin beds that can be made into a makeshift couch is a bit of a reality check. My life is no longer just mine with the cats. It’s now mine with the cats, a boyfriend, and two kids. Whoa. I need a second to just take it all in and feels fitting to check out a song from a group called “PrivacyClub” since I’m realizing that privacy will be a thing of the past on the weekends that we have his kids.

The first thing that struck me about “Into A Flower” from PrivacyClub was the subtle danciness of the track. There’s an infectious energy that comes with the stomping beat but I wouldn’t go as far as to call this a dancy anthem. There’s more depth to it as the song dabbles within worlds of post-punk and indie-rock sounds. It’s a cool blend that definitely has a sense of fire behind it but, at the same time, remains fairly understated until the anthemic and explosive ending. “Into A Flower” from PrivacyClub will somehow both calm your soul and give you a burst of energy and, on a Friday, sometimes that’s all you can ask for.
