I both love and hate Fridays. I hate them because it’s the day that I spend half of my day sending updates to all of my clients at one of my many jobs. It’s just a stressful thing to do and, by the time I’m done with it, I typically feel a bit spent which is only emphasized when I start getting responses back from said clients that change everything. I just got those emails out and I figured that before I start seeing those responses and start getting caught up on my other jobs, I would take a break and share a new song with you!
“The Lily” by ARKTA hit me perfectly the second the song started. The atmospheric and lush beauty that kicks this song off instantly had me feeling a sense of calm that I so desperately needed but, after just a couple of seconds, the bulk of this song hit me and gave me a sense of power and energy that I also needed. I love the back and forth between those two themes throughout this nearly four-minute long song. The contrast is drastic but it’s beautiful and makes “The Lily” a truly epic piece of art. I know that four-minutes isn’t long but ARKTA has somehow made the four minutes of this song feel like a complete journey and it’s a journey I suggest you all take right now.
