GreenWing reached out to me a couple of days ago about their new single “At The Time” and it has been killing me that I’ve had to wait to share it out to you guys but it’s finally out there for all to hear and I am stoked to introduce you to this amazing song and band (unless you already found them on your own in which case mad respect to you!).
“At The Time” is actually kind of a dark song if you know the background of it. It’s a track about when some of vocalist Matt Stinn’s staged a bit of an intervention to just check in on him and his mental health after what could only be considered a hellish year. It’s actually a very dramatic setting to put yourself into when listening to this song but it makes sense as the words of this track fly past you with an upbeat pop-punk hue to them. It’s very tongue-in-cheek with lyrics that will make you look back at your hellish day, week, year, or lifetime (depending on your current mood) and realize that you’re not alone. You’ve never been alone because, the truth is, we all go through hell and back just to get up the next day and do it again. “At The Time” is a perfect reminder of this and set to a catchy tune that will definitely get stuck in your head and make GreenWing your new favorite band.
