Girl at the Rock Shows

I am already feeling overwhelmed with today but I’m trying to not let it get the best of me. There’s a crap ton to get done and I can’t give up this early (or at all to be honest) so this means it’s time for a quick breather and the first single of the week. This one is coming from right here in Minnesota.

I’m not sure how Is This Thing On has been flying under my radar but that has definitely changed after just one listen to their new song “Same”. The first single off of their debut full length that is due out yet this month, I love the nostalgia factor that comes with “Same”. I know it starts off slow and you may even wonder if this song has started at all with the slow intro but I promise this slowburn of an opening leads to something truly beautiful, catchy, and perfect. I know this is a bit calmer than what I typically share out but the twists and turns throughout this four minute and eleven second song are amazing. It creates such a sense of energy that it will force you to stop what you’re doing and just listen and, on an already painfully overwhelming day, this was just what I needed.
