I feel like I’ve been a bit all over the place as far as what I’ve been in the mood to listen to today. That’s nothing new and I feel like your benefiting from this because all of my shares thus far today have been completely different. Let’s continue that trend by digging into “It’s Always You” from Florence Pugh.

An indie rock song with Midwest Emo sensibilities behind it, “It’s Always You” is one of those songs that will instantly strike you with it’s beauty. I love how the beginning seems to wrap around you with a sense of coziness and then Florence Pugh’s sound comes in a few seconds later and blasts you away. I like how, even when you get the full band sound and the angsty vocals, this song is still absolutely stunning with dazzling guitarwork and subtle yet powerful drum hits. This is one of those songs where you could either choose to lean into the undeniable angst and energy of the track or lean more towards the sensitive and tender beauty.
