Are you looking for something a little heavy and intense to get your Tuesday started? Look no further than “Hey Ma” from Sick Move.
Although a super short song at just a couple of seconds over two-minutes long, this song hits and it hits hard. The 4th single off of Sick Move’s upcoming debut album ‘Intrusive Thoughts’, “Hey May” is a song that is full of relentless intensity. I suggest taking a deep breath before diving into this song because, honestly, the band gives you very little time to catch said breath throughout this song. The heavy and fast beat just keeps coming at you while being accompanied by intense vocals and, at times, perfectly crafted gang vocals. Although the song comes off as aggressive and angry, the story behind it is actually very sweet as it is an ode to the vocalist’s grandparents who were like parents to him. It even goes as far as calling them Ma & Dad in this song. Don’t worry if you don’t catch those words though, this is a song that is better felt than analyzed so just press play and let it take you over.
