Happy Tuesday, everyone! I hope your week is off to a good start. Mine was rocky yesterday morning but I’m starting to find my footing and things are looking up. I figure we should start the day off with something upbeat, fun, and infectious that those are all great words to describe “Last Summer” from SMACKBEAT.
Although all of the information about this song and band I got was in German so I didn’t understand it all, “Last Summer” instantly had me hooked with it’s classic pop-punk vibe. I was a bit surprised that the vocals were in English with everything attached to this song being in German but it was a nice surprise because it made it so easy to relate to this song on a bit of a deeper level. Just like the infectious beat, the lyrics of this track are quintessential pop-punk lyrics. I really wish I had more to say about “Last Summer” and SMACKBEAT in general but this is one of those songs that you just instantly fall in love with due to the amount of fun and life it fills you with so, if you’re struggling to get into the flow today or just need a little pick me up, turn up the volume and press play on this full-of-life and flawless song.
