Girl at the Rock Shows

I try to upload my concert pictures the night of the show so, in the morning, I can just get to work on sorting through them and picking the ones I want to use. I’m not sure what happened last night but half of my photos didn’t upload and I didn’t realize it until my article was done which means I’m dead in the water until the giant files upload. This could take awhile so I figured now is a perfect time to share some music with you since I didn’t have time to do much yesterday so let’s kick the day off right with “he witch” from tricktheriddle.

tricktheriddle is an “alt-rock” band from New York City who has an EP coming out later this week and if listening to this song, “he witch” doesn’t get you stoked for that album, well, there’s something wrong with you. Why did I put “alt-rock” in quotations? Well, if you would just listen to this song, I think it would become very clear pretty instantly. There’s such cool instrumentation in this song that leans almost into a folk-rock world and even a world-music vibe. It’s so amazingly intriguing and the way it matches with the more standard (yet extremely emotive) vocals is a thing of magic.
