“Rinse and Repeat” from Dallas Busha is one of those tracks that doesn’t need an introduction. It starts off with a line of words that will instantly hook you whether it’s with the word choice or the raspy sensibility of the vocals. Either way, you will instantly fall into Dallas Busha’s world with no escape and, honestly, that’s okay.
Stylistically, this song is situated in a very skate punk world but it has these small nods to everything from pop-punk to emo all the way to something heavier hidden throughout the three and half minutes that it lasts. It’s a great blend of all things great and the constant brilliant storytelling in the lyrics remains in the forefront. There were parts of this song where I wish there had been a bit more boom with the instrumentation but, at the same time, I feel like the understated nature of some of these moments really highlights Dallas Busha’s talent in a beautiful way. On top of all of this, there’s a major twist right around the two minute and fifteen second mark. I’m definitely not going to tell you what that twist is but I will say that it’s definitely worth your attention.
