The snow is still flying and I can already feel myself mentally preparing for the epic nap I’m going to take when I get home from my day job but, in order to take said epic nap, I need to power through a crap ton more work and I need a song to help me do it. Thankfully, the next song I have to share with you is doing just the trick as far as giving me life and motivation to keep going today.

“Intrusive Thoughts” is the title track off of Sick Move’s upcoming debut album. If you’re a fan of punk-leaning pop-punk, this is the song for you. Sure, it’s catchy like a typically pop-punk bop but there’s just this sense of slightly more aggression and angst than what you typically get in a pop-punk song. The chorus instantly reminded me of Dillinger Four but then the gang vocals felt a bit more of The Menzingers. All of these elements come together to create two and a half minutes of pure bliss that will surely put a smile on your face, a pep in your step, and give you a sense of energy to continue on with your day regardless of your current exhaustion or stress level.
