I can already tell it’s going to be a weird and tough week. I’m not going to get into it because I’m trying to stay positive and keep my head in the game but this is a week where I need amazing new music so let’s not waste any time and just jump right into it starting with “Stranger” from Close to Monday.
I’ll be honest with you, this song is way out of leftfield when compared with the other music I typically share out but don’t let that scare you away from this amazing track. “Stranger” is a very electronic sounding track with an infectious beat and smooth vocals. It’s a cool blend of many things that honestly shouldn’t go together so well yet Close to Monday pulls it off flawlessly. Although this definitely has an almost electro-pop vibe to it, there’s a sense of sensitivity and darkness in the vocals that had me mesmerized within the first few second. On top of that, this song seems to have so much power. Much more power than you may expect from just a duo. So why not start the week off with something a bit different. Bump that bass up and get lost in Close to Monday’s world with “Stranger”.
