Happy Wednesday, everyone! I finally got some sleep last night and I am feeling refreshed and ready to take on the world one new track at a time so let’s go ahead and just get right into it today starting with “Always Somewhere To Be” from BLUESTEM.
Vancouver-based BLUESTEM has a very distinct sound. They blend alt-rock with a punk edge and indie-rock swagger so perfectly and it all comes to fruition in this song in particular. There’s something heavy about this song but there’s also something warm and comforting about it. Even with those varying feelings radiating from this track, there is also something super “summery” about the song. It’s unique but there are elements that will remind you of a million other bands and songs at the same time. “Always Somewhere To Be” is the kind of song that gets stuck in your head upon first listen and will make you want to hear so much more from BLUESTEM so, go ahead, take the plunge and get lost in BLUESTEM’s unique and perfect world.
