I love a band with a wild backstory. That’s the first thing that caught my attention about Agent 51. It is quite possible that this band is made up of rogue secret agents who are on the run from a government organization that has ties to aliens. Wild, right? Whether or not this is true, Agent 51 had me attention and completely won over my heart the second I heard “We’ve Got X-Ray Vision.”
Beyond the catchy backstory is the catchy sound of this band’s classic California pop-punk sound. It’s boisterous and loud, but it’s not super frantic or anything like that. Honestly, I really liked the way that this song both made me feel calm and full of life all at the same time because it fit my day perfectly– productive but not stressed. “We’ve Got X-Ray Vision” is highlighted by a stunning guitar solo that feels so epic yet fits the song so perfectly at the same time. That, plus the iconic and anthemic vocals, makes this a song that will instantly get stuck in your head and leave you wanting more. “We’ve Got X-Ray Vision” is the fourth single off of Agent 51’s upcoming album, so if you like what you hear here, you’re in luck. This band has so much more out there, so jump on it and check them out before they get caught by the authorities for going rogue.
