Girl at the Rock Shows

I’m slammed at my day job right now so is it smart to take a break and check out some new music? Absolutely not but it’s what my soul craves and I need a breather so let’s take a quick one and check out “Shrivel/Shrink” from Ecto Peach.

“Shrivel/Shrink” is a song off of Ecto Peach’s brand new album ‘Middle-Aged Angst’, and just one listen to this track will absolutely lead you down the road to this full album. “Shrivel/Shrink” is an angsty little number about cat-calling. You can feel the bitterness that comes with unwanted cat-calling in the vocals, and you can feel the angst that comes with it, but this song is so much more than just that message. “Shrivel/Shrink” showcases Ecto Peach’s grunge-leaning punk sound so perfectly. The sound, like the words, is raw and perfectly unpolished. There’s this grit behind this track and a slight fuzz element that just seems to accentuate everything happening in this song while giving Ecto Peach a very recognizable vibe at the same time. I know it’s a busy day for everyone (what in the heck is happening today?), but I urge you to come up for air if only for a couple of minutes to check out this killer track.
