I don’t have a quirky intro right now. I’m just plugging away at work and trying my best to get caught up after being sick all week. It all feels a bit daunting to try and clear out my inboxes that have gone largely unattended for a couple of days but songs like “Etiquette” from MAJORS are helping me to keep going.
“Etiquette” is a hilarious tongue-in-cheek song with a video to match, but with a serving of angst that is unbelievably infectious. Stylistically, “Etiquette” seems to lean into the hard rock vein of things a bit more than I tend to go for, but there is a definite pop-punk influence that comes through in some of the chugging guitars and the overall attitude of the track that really caught me. The power of this song is insane and can be heard within the first few seconds. I love how that power, although it evolves throughout the song, never goes away. Between clips of a hilarious golfing outing, you get to see MAJORS performing live in front of what looks like a creepy farm house. Although I know this is just a video, there’s something about these live clips that transported me to a MAJORS concert, and it was perfect (especially since I am going in one week from my last live show, which, for me, is insane). Whether you need a taste of live music energy or are just looking for a super catchy new track that will catch your ears along with your eyes (in reference to the video), “Etiquette” from MAJORS is the track you need to hear and see right now.
