Girl at the Rock Shows

I shared “Etiquette” from MAJORS with you all just a couple of weeks ago. I loved that song, but couldn’t shake the feeling that I knew something about this band. It turns out that this band includes two members from The Fully Down. I know that that band never gained the traction that they deserved but, for me, I was a bit starstruck when I found that out. That being said, I promised myself that it wouldn’t lead to any bias when reviewing their new track “Thinkin’Bout.” Thankfully, this song is amazing on its own and, even without my newfound connection to MAJORS, this song instantly became a standard in my daily playlists.

MAJORS wastes no time blasting you right in the face with their signature brand of power. Although the beginning of this track starts off with a bang, it quickly falls into a very nostalgic brand of pop-punk but with glittering elements of something super fresh and modern. From the infectious chorus to the ridiculously boppy verses, this song, through and through, is a jam and will surely have you dancing around whatever space you’re in in no time. Although I picked up on the fun factor of this track, there’s no denying the depth that the lyrics bring to the table when it comes to “Thinkin’Bout.” What are those lyrics about? Come on now, I’m not going to give that away. Check it out for yourself, and let’s all inevitably fall in love with this band to the point where we can pressure them into coming to the Twin Cities for a concert sooner rather than later, because I truly think that a live performance from MAJORS is the only thing missing from my life right now.
