Girl at the Rock Shows

I feel like even the happiest person is going through it right now. It’s just such a weird world, from politics to the weather, and I feel like everyone gets lost in the insanity from time to time. That’s kind of what this song is about but that’s not entirely what caught me about “Tired!” from Version XXVII.

What really caught me with this track is the fact that it’s Version XXVII’s first-ever song. It’s truly hard to believe because everything about this track is as tight as it is unique. I suppose you could call this an “electronic-punk” song, but I feel like that doesn’t come close to doing this song justice. There’s power and there’s an undeniable sense of heart, but there’s this blend of something super tender and beautiful with something a bit more dark and ominous, which creates a sense of tension that is subtle yet is as deep as the thoughts you have when you let your mind wander. This song reminds you that you can either get lost in the insanity and darkness that seems to be overtaking this world, or you can take that energy and make something beautiful out of it.
